Not all pearls come from the sea; some shine on your nails! Our LB Pearl Gel is a beautifully formulated pearlescent gel designed to give your nails a soft, luminous finish with a subtle, silky sheen. This produces a delicate glow like a natural pearl, with a gentle shift in tone as light hits the nails from different angles—an effect similar to iridescence.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply the LB Pearl Gel?
- PREP: After prepping the nails, apply a thin coat of iGel Base Coat, then cure under UV/LED lamp.
- BASE COLOR: Apply a white, black, or your preferred base color and cure.
- APPLY LB PEARL GEL: Apply a layer of your chosen LB Pearl Gel and cure. Repeat as desired!
- APPLY TOP COAT: Apply No Cleanse Top Coat, and cure.
(Curing Time: LED (30 seconds), UV/LED (60-90 seconds), UV (2 minutes), depending on lamp wattage.)
How do I remove the LB Pearl Gel?
- BUFF THE TOP COAT: Buff off the shiny top layer, and avoid buffing your natural nail bed.
- SOAK IN ACETONE: Soak your nails in acetone for 10-15 minutes to weaken the gel. Use a cuticle pusher to remove excess polish. You may opt to use the Foil Method or the regular Soak Off Method.
- Foil Method: Thoroughly soak a cotton ball in acetone. Afterward, place it over your nail and tightly wrap your nail in aluminum foil. Do this for each finger and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Lastly, remove the foil, and gently rub the cotton ball along with the foil on your nails.
- Soak Off Method: Pour acetone into a small bowl and soak your nails inside for 15 to 20 minutes. If excess polish remains, soak it in for another 5 minutes.
- BUFF & NOURISH: Lightly buff the surface of your nails. Afterward, nourish your nails with Nourish oil or cuticle oil.
Why am I getting a streaky or uneven pearl effect?
- Pearl pigments settle over time, so make sure to gently shake/roll the bottle between your hands to mix it.
- Apply over a solid color (white or black base) for the best pearl effect and to increase opacity.
Tip: Apply the last layer of pearl gel with a small sponge to prevent getting streaks.
Why is the color too sheer and not showing the pearl effect?
It is normal for our pearl gels to be sheer. If you want to see the pearl effect, we highly recommend using a base color. If you prefer to use the LB Pearl Gel alone, you may apply multiple layers to make it opaque.
Can I apply the Pearl Gel over different systems?
Yes! After doing your preferred system (e.g., gel polish, acrylic, etc.), make sure to buff the surface well before applying the LB Pearl Gel.
